All children have singing lessons as part of their curriculum music lessons and Prayer and Praise. Children in years 3 to 6 are encouraged to join the choir. We meet on Tuesday morning from 8.15am! In choir, we learn singing games that help develop general musicianship skills, for example, a sense of pulse and rhythm. We work on vocal technique, trying to improve the sound we make, and our performance skills. During the Autumn term the choir performed at Harvest Festival, a concert at St Giles Church Kilmington, the Charity Christmas Bazaar, Festive Friday and at our School Carol Service. Our latest success was winning our category in the Devon and Exeter Performing Arts Festival with Distinction. We have now won this four years in a row!. We also perform at our annual music evening and at lunchtime concerts in The Minster Church, Axminster.
