7th July 2017
On the afternoon of Friday 7th July, we held our annual sports day event. In anticipation of extremely hot weather, we were prepared (with thanks from parents) with parasols and gazebos to keep the sun off the children. Fortunately we were blessed with a warm but cloudy afternoon. Well this year's sports day did not disappoint. During the afternoon, the children competed with determination, humour and great sportsmanship. They were there ready, cheering on their fellow competitors. Parents also had the opportunity to dust off the cobwebs and run in the 'Mum's magnificent meander' and the 'Dad's dextrous dash'. We only had one parent on the deck so all in all a great result. Competing in their houses, the cheers of St David's, St Andrew's, St Patrick's and St George, were ringing in the air. However, it was the magnificent team of St Andrew's that won the PTFA Sports Day shield by a country mile. Well done EVERYONE. It was a truly fabulous afternoon of sport.
