Activities for Wriggly Writers this week.
Please choose one activity to do each day.
Long Ladders – please practise the letters in the long ladder family. There is a sheet attached to show you how to write the letters if you wish to use it. You can also look at the BBC Bitesize video to show your child how to write each one. Please practise writing them by sitting the letter neatly on a line.
Captions/sentences – please use the picture of the middle sized Billy Goat Gruff to write the sentence, ‘Next the middle0sized Billy Goat Gruff went trip trap, trip trap over the bridge.’
Encourage your child to use the word bank to help them with their spelling.
Goat Hats – Cut out three different sized Billy Goat Gruff from the sheet and stick them in order from smallest to largest. In school we will be sticking them on a band to make a Billy Goat Gruff hat. If they finish their cutting early we will encourage the children to draw things from the story on their head band.
High Frequency words –practise spelling the phase 2 high frequency words (five at a time). Once you have learnt five, go onto the next five. Move onto phase 3 if you know the phase 2 words. They are attached so you know what they are. If your child is willing, this could be a 10 min every day activity.
