17/11/2025 - In our Weekly Word Act of Worship, we focused on the ‘World Day of the Poor’ which took place yesterday. 

We explored how we were able to plant ‘Seeds of Hope’ by small acts of kindness towards those in need. 

We have begun to create a ‘Seeds of Hope’ display in the hall and the children have been colouring in some ‘ Seeds of Hope’ images to add to this. 

Thank you to Lillia and Macy who already completed their designs which have been added to the display. 

Our St Mary’s community have already shown several acts of kindness to our wider community in Axminster and beyond through their generosity at harvest, filling Christmas Shoeboxes and donating to Children in Need. 

We are now encouraging the children to think about acts of kindness they can share with those around them such as a welcoming smile, lending and sharing their toys/equipment as well as wider charitable giving events. 

We look forward to adding more ‘Seeds of Hope’ designs to our display.
