Read the story again to your child, inviting them to join in with some of the retelling.
Today we are going to write sentences for each picture to tell the story in our own words. We will make sure we say out loud our sentence before we write it and we will try to include a capital letter at the start of each sentence and a full stop at the end of each sentence.
Tuesday
Read the story again to your child, inviting them to join in with some of the retelling.
We will be writing a letter to Mummy Bear from Baby Bear about their visit to the moon. Encourage your child to be in role as Baby Bear and think about their journey to the moon and what they did and who they met. At school I will write a letter first to show the children what to do. We will think of what we can include in the letter together. Your child will need to help them decide what to write in the letter. Decide on about five or six sentences that they could write.
Together with your child (in role as Baby Bear) write a letter to Mummy about your trip to the moon.
Wednesday
Today we will be following a simple recipe to make moon rock cakes.
I have attached the recipe to follow with your child.
I hope you enjoy making moon rock cakes together.
Thursday
Read the book again. What was it like on the moon for Bear? What do you know about the moon? Do you know much about space?
